How much will a website cost?

This question is a little like “how long is a piece of string”? Every website is different and have different requirements and/or features. Digital Eclipse will tailor a quote to meet your specific needs. Rest assured, while our prices may be cheaper than our competitors it doesn’t mean your site will be anything less than perfection.

How do you keep your prices so low?

Unlike some of the bigger firms, Digital Eclipse is a one (wo)man show. I work from home, in my living room, so I don’t have all those overhead costs that need to be filtered down and passed on to you. This helps you get a fantastic website at a cheaper price, and allows me to still be home with my little girl – so we all get the best of both worlds.

How long will it take for my project to be finished?

Because I am a solo freelancer, I only take on as much work as I feel that I can complete in a fair time frame. A simple (business card – one to three pages) web site can be done in a one to two week turnaround time. A more complex site will take longer. Time frames also depend on whether you are providing me with any content, or if I will be creating logos, images, copywritten text, hosting and domain names. If you have an urgent project, contact me and I’ll help you get up and running.

Do you offer you customer support?

Do I offer customer support? I will become your best friend if that’s what you need from me. If you think of something that you need added to your project in the middle of the night, well, maybe don’t let me know in the middle of the night, but for sure, email me and I will call you first thing the next morning – because hey, good work needs good sleep! Seriously though, I will keep in constant contact with you during the duration of your project, and am available to talk when you need to talk about your project. When your website is launched, I will make sure that any technical issues are taken care of without delay and offer a 30 day maintenance program for free. After that, you can choose to keep me on in a maintenance capacity, or go it alone, but I’ll always be just a phone call or email away if you get stuck.

Do you offer training?

Absolutely! I won’t leave you with a website that looks fantastic (because, I promise, your website will look fantastic), but leaves you feeling confused when it comes time to update it. I will have a face to face handover of your website and leave you with a written reference guide. Of course, if you would rather hand the maintenance of the site over to me, this can also be arranged.

How will Digital Eclipse communicate with me?

That’s completley up to you. If you would like to communicate via phone, then I’ll add you to my speed dials, but if you prefer email, you’ll be added to my frequent sender list. Of course, I’m also available for face to face meetings if that is what you would prefer.

How do I pay for my project?

A 25% deposit is required to start the ball rolling. For shorter projects, the balance will be due when the project is complete. For larger projects that have a substantial timeline, there will be milestone payments, with the final payment due when the project is complete. Payment can be made via bank transfer or PayPal. Sadly, I do not accept cheques.

How do I get started?

Well I’m glad you asked this question. First, start by sending me a quick email – you can use that funky form on the side of this post – or give me a call. Once we’ve got the basics of what you want, I’ll send you a project agreement form (which needs to be signed) and a more in-depth questionnaire so there is no confusion about what you are wanting out of our arrangement. When these have been completed, signed and returned to me and your deposit paid, I will get to work on creating your masterpiece.
